Senior Vice President, Public Affairs
Shirley Jones joined the chamber staff in 1994 after serving as a chamber volunteer for several years. She attended Memphis State University. As senior vice president, public affairs, her role is to advocate for chamber members and the business community with elected officials on the local, state and federal levels. She also serves as a liaison between public education and the chamber/business community. She is a graduate of the US Chamber Institute for Organizational Management (IOM), School of Bank Marketing, Rotary Leadership Institute and Leadership Jackson.
Jones' community involvement includes the Ayers Children Medical Center Advisory Board, Old Hickory Rotary Club, Rotary District 6760 Scholarship Chairman, Assistant Governor Coordinator. She also serves on the Local Emergency Planning Committee, the WLJT Board of Directors, OVC Baseball Tournament Local Planning Committee and the Jackson-Madison County School System Pre-K Advisory Committee.
