Kellogg Sales Company and Panattoni Development Company cleared another hurdle on Tuesday morning for them to begin building their distribution plant in Jackson when the Madison County Industrial Parks Committee approved its covenants.
"So each of our industrial parks have restrictive covenants, much like any residential subdivision would have that protects the investment of the people who invest there," Mandy White, senior vice president of economic development with the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, said after the meeting.
"So we did this for Pacific (Industries)," White continued. "Everything that's out there went through this same exact process."
Scott Abbott, senior development manager of Panattoni who will be constructing the 1.1-million-square-foot facility for Kellogg, said that all parties are looking to sign the final agreement sometime next week.
Abbott referred all other comments to Kellogg.
The facility will be the largest in Madison County, square footage-wise.
The facility will house 80 trucking docks, and have parking spots for 370 cars and 550 trailers.
