Vision 2020 update set for October

Over the next two weeks, consultants and school system employees will continue working on the next steps for Vision 2020, an initiative to restructure the Jackson-Madison County School System and redirect resources to the classroom.
“As (people) absorb what they’ve heard this week there are going to be a number of things ongoing,” said Jim Campbell, chairman of the board. “If people talk through it, they develop insights, and we need it. We need to share those insights, we need to know what people are thinking.”
Eric Bosman, consultant at Kimley-Horn, will return to present last week’s findings to the school board Oct. 13.
