I honestly attribute much of our success to the wonderful people that have given us guidance at the Jackson Chamber. Joining the first day we opened, we are actively involved, making the chamber our partner and taking advantage of their many opportunities like ribbon cuttings, Business @ 212º, Business After Hours, workshops and training.

To grow a business and have market sustainability, I recommend that all businesses – new and existing, form a partnership with the Jackson Chamber.

Joining the Jackson Chamber has proven to be a wise investment. From the beginning of my membership, it has opened doors and helped me network with other business associates that I probably would not have met.

With events like Business After Hours, Member Orientation and Quarterly Membership Breakfast, the chamber provides many opportunities to get and stay connected.

Since moving to Jackson, I have been involved in both the Human Resource Manager Forum, as well as the Plant Manager

Forum. I find both Forums very helpful – it is useful to share experiences and learn from others. In addition, the other industries in this area are very supportive and willing to provide assistance in any way, particularly in sharing best practices.

Members of Team Madison County facilitate these Forums. This group is differential to any other local Chamber or Economic Development group I have ever worked with. They actively engage in supporting existing industry in this area and are not just focused on trying to develop the area by adding new industry and businesses. They have helped me grow my business by providing economic benefits to the expansion of our facility. Team Madison County focuses on serving the industry in the community in any way that is necessary to keep this area thriving.

Starting a new business is one of my hardest earned, yet most rewarding, accomplishments. When I didn’t know where to start, I turned to the Jackson Chamber. I can say from personal experience that we simply have the best chamber. Having so many opportunities to network and being surrounded by numerous mentors helped me grow my new company quickly. I can’t imagine having a company without the help and support of our Jackson Chamber.

Three years later, something I had never imagined took place - my company merged with Younger Associates.

Being a volunteer for the chamber has opened enumerable doors for me in the business community. As a volunteer, I have been able to connect with many other business leaders. The chamber has also given me visibility and exposure that I would not have with any other volunteer opportunity. The chamber encourages this exposure for their volunteers, making it a win-win situation.

Being a member of the chamber is about networking and building business relationships, but more than that, it’s about being a member of a community that supports my business.

It was largely because of the efforts and vision of the leadership of the Jackson Chamber that Gerdau located its steel mill in Jackson over 30 years ago.

They helped the leadership of our company to see all of the advantages for selecting Jackson, and we have been pleased beyond expectations ever since. We have been provided wonderful opportunities for involvement in our community including Leadership Jackson, Leadership University, Capitol Talk, Partners-in-Education, and many, many more. Our busi

nesses, our citizens and our community have been enriched by the leadership the chamber has demonstrated and continues to demonstrate.
