Being a volunteer for the chamber has opened enumerable doors for me in the business community. As a volunteer, I have been able to connect with many other business leaders. The chamber has also given me visibility and exposure that I would not have with any other volunteer opportunity. The chamber encourages this exposure for their volunteers, making it a win-win situation.
Being a member of the chamber is about networking and building business relationships, but more than that, it’s about being a member of a community that supports my business.
Dr. Joel Durham
It was largely because of the efforts and vision of the leadership of the Jackson Chamber that Gerdau located its steel mill in Jackson over 30 years ago.
They helped the leadership of our company to see all of the advantages for selecting Jackson, and we have been pleased beyond expectations ever since. We have been provided wonderful opportunities for involvement in our community including Leadership Jackson, Leadership University, Capitol Talk, Partners-in-Education, and many, many more. Our businesses, our citizens and our community have been enriched by the leadership the chamber has demonstrated andcontinues to demonstrate.
Vice-President & General Manager
H+M Company, Inc. is proud to be a member of the Jackson Chamber. At H+M, we realize that the best way to get the most value from our membership is to actively participate.
Whether it’s networking, generating leads, or serving on committees, the chamber provides a unique forum to connect, make business contacts, and greatly increase our exposure.
As a volunteer, I have been able to connect with business leaders through such programs as Leadership Jackson, Women in Business, and U40 Young Professionals. I have learned that by investing my time, I am creating a return on investment through relationships that will be priceless in the long run.
