Ten years ago, Danny Crossett had a vision. After visiting a Fleet Feet store in Kingsport, Tennessee, he realized the need for a similar specialty running store in Jackson. Despite Fleet Feet's initial skepticism about Jackson's ability to support a store, Danny remained convinced of the need and opened Performance Running of West Tennessee. The store thrived for three years and then caught the attention of Fleet Feet. From there, Fleet Feet Jackson, TN, was born. This May marks the ninth anniversary from the beginning (five years as Fleet Feet).
Utilizing state-of-the-art 3D scanning technology, the store ensures every customer finds their perfect fit, making mere shoe shopping an experience tailored to individual needs. The store offers a diverse selection of brands, and every aspect of the business is tailored to meet the needs of its customers. Beyond shoes, the store carries popular apparel brands like Lululemon and Vuori.
Fleet Feet is more than just a store—it is an integral part of the community. It sponsors charity runs, such as the Turkey Day Run benefiting RIFA, and supports events like the Andrew Jackson Marathon. The store is deeply invested in West Tennessee, as evidenced by its free 5Ks, fun runs, and partnerships with organizations like Young Life and Youth Town.
Customer service is a top priority at Fleet Feet. Their knowledgeable staff assists customers in finding the perfect gear, and they back it up with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee that even matches online prices.
Fleet Feet is dedicated to customer service, uses cutting-edge technology, and is deeply invested in the community. It offers more than just running shoes. It provides a supportive environment to help you achieve your goals while fostering a healthier West Tennessee.

The free event will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 6:00 PM at The Latta Theatre in Selmer, TN. The “Legacy Music of McNairy” film takes viewers on a stroll down memory lane, diving into the rich history of the talented musicians in the McNairy County area as preserved by local historian, Dr. Shawn Pitts, and the Traditional Arts Committee. Pitts describes the film and CD as “more than a decade in the making. They draw on Arts in McNairy’s vast archive of sound recordings, photos and video interviews to tell the story of Stanton Littlejohn, Earl Latta, and an incredible crop of postwar musicians who forged a lasting legacy from one-room schoolhouses, modest homes and an auto garage in McNairy County, Tennessee." Before the screening, attendees will enjoy an old-time jam led by musicians Wayne Jerrolds and David Killingsworth from the film. They will be accompanied by descendants and bandmates of additional personalities showcased. The film will be presented in two parts, starting at 7:00 PM. The intermission provided will allow attendees the opportunity to purchase the “Littlejohn Sessions Volume II” CD - available for the first time at the event. The “Legacy Music of McNairy” film was made possible by AiM and a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission. The screening and release party is open to the public.
