Visit Jackson, TN is excited to announce the launch of Emerge, a program designed for college students in Jackson. This unique program aims to provide students with cross-campus friendships, valuable experiences, and connections while allowing them to discover things they may have yet to experience in Jackson.

Emerge will bring together student leaders from all four of Jackson's colleges and universities, including Jackson State Community College, Lane College, Union University, and U of M Lambuth. Through the program, students will explore the city beyond their campuses, build relationships with other students, and connect with the community.

Emerge consists of six sessions, each designed to give students a deeper understanding of Jackson's landscape, government initiatives, community volunteering, arts and culture, and music history. Students will also gain valuable insight into the city's future-shaping initiatives.

Students who participate in Emerge will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills, receive a certificate of completion for their résumé, and stand out to future employers with unique experiences and skills gained through the program. In addition to these benefits, students will also cultivate a love for their college city and have tons of fun!
