Plans are well underway for the 2^nd Annual Jackson Pride Event. Taking place on Saturday, October 9th at Conger Park in Jackson, Tenn., the day will include activities for all ages. Highlights include musical performances by various artists, entertainment by a live DJ, exhibits booths from vendors, face painting and bouncy house for kids and more. The event is inclusive, family-friendly and open to the general public. Face coverings will be encouraged, but not required, and a $10 donation is requested for admission to the event.

Jackson Pride was formed in 2021 as a fund of the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation. The purpose of Jackson Pride is to create a more diverse and inclusive atmosphere in Jackson, Tenn. Darren Lykes, Jackson Pride event chair says, “This event aims to bring the LGBT+ population together, including communities within this community. Funds raised at the Jackson Pride Event will allow us to continue to expand and grow our mission of supporting diversity through awareness.”
