Event Details

The Madison County Imagination Library will be presented by Jason Schultz who will tell us about their mission to improve literacy by providing books to the children of Madison County. Mr. Schultz grew up in Selmer, TN and moved to Jackson twenty-five years ago to play basketball at Union University. He became involved with Imagination Library after graduating from Leadership Jackson in 2012. He currently is serving as chairman of the board and is planning to remain active even as his term expires. He will share more about the program and about their journey over the past six years.

Lori Collins and Patti Simpson will discuss the Redemption Road Rescue formed to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses in need in West Tennessee. Ms. Collins is a 2018 West Tennessee Jefferson Award Winner and is the founder of the only equine rescue in West Tennessee and surrounding counties.

Come and learn about these groups that do so much to enhance and enrich our community. Bring a sack lunch and enjoy desserts provided by the Friends of the Library.
