Event Details
Many things around our homes will harm the environment if we throw them in the regular trash, including pesticides, chemicals, paint thinner, household cleaners and oil-based paint. Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day gives us a free way to get rid of these items so they don’t get in the landfill or stormwater system. This year’s Collection Day will also include electronic waste recycling, document shredding, prescription medication drop-offs, and cardboard and smoke detector recycling. Please help us spread the word by sharing the event with your friends. This event is sponsored by City of Jackson Stormwater Management, City of Jackson Health and Sanitation Department, Omega Recycling Solutions, Direct Shred, Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics, Jackson Fire Department and Doxicom Recycling. Hazardous waste disposal costs are paid for by Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. |
