NASHVILLE – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) are on board the Rural Strong Tennessee Bus and the Tour is coming your way. On September 26, 2019, the Rural Strong Bus Tour is making a stop in Jackson, Tennessee.

During the stop in Jackson, the SBA and USDA will be providing information to rural entrepreneurs on how the SBA, USDA, the State of Tennessee, and multiple state-wide partners extend services to assist entrepreneurs with starting, growing, and expanding their small businesses. Attendees will have the opportunity to board and explore the Venture Mobile Lab. This experience will allow small businesses to be inspired and become equipped with the tools needed to take their ventures to the next level.

In April 2017, President Trump issued an Executive Order promoting agriculture and rural prosperity through an Interagency Task Force. In support of that, the SBA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the USDA that commits to a deeper collaboration and coordination of the agencies’ resources. The SBA is working to increase access to capital, improve opportunities for public and private investments in rural America, and help rural businesses export products around the world. The effort aims to achieve the President’s vision of a rural America with world-class resources and the tools and support necessary to build robust, sustainable communities.
