Leaders Credit Union Introduces Business Development Manager

Leaders Credit Union, member-owned financial cooperative based in Jackson, Tenn., is pleased to introduce Karen Freeman as their Business Development Representative effective immediately. Freeman’s role is to consistently deliver service excellence, relevant financial solutions and customized educational courses to Leaders Credit Union Select Employee Group relationships and members.
“As a leadership team, we realized the importance of locating a qualified, experienced candidate whom best embodied our corporate values and brand personality. We did not take our search lightly,” said Leigh Anne Bentley, Vice President of Marketing. “The newest member of our marketing team, Karen Freeman, is an asset to Leaders and will provide the highest level of service to our Select Employee Groups and will make a positive impact in our communities. She is genuine and passionate and will serve as a Financial Champion to our members.”
Freeman has over 14 years of combined financial services experience specifically in the areas of bank marketing and business development. Freeman is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. After graduation, Freeman worked as an admissions counselor for the then-Lambuth University. Freeman began her financial marketing career in Nashville with a uniquely designed state-wide bank. Since that time, Karen has had the opportunity to work with banks ranging in size from start-up financial institutions to nearly two billion dollar assets.
Freeman is a speaker with the Sheshunoff Consulting + Solutions BankersWeb speaker series speaking regularly on evolving trends, self-service banking, marketing and emerging payment solutions. She, along with two other BankersWeb speakers, created and administer the Electronic Banking Certification Series, now in its fifth year.
Freeman is active in the community and is involved in American Heart Society, currently serving as the 2016 Heart Walk Chair. She is the membership chair of the Old Hickory Rotary Club, a member of the Union University Enactus Board, and a Jackson Chamber Ambassador. As a 2016 Leadership Jackson graduate, she also serves on the Leadership Jackson University Board. Freeman was recognized as a member of Jackson’s Finest in 2015. She, her husband, Ryan, and two children reside in Bells, Tenn.
