With high-quality treatments and a dedication to mental health, Hopefield Healthcare has been serving Jackson since 2016. It was founded by a group of physicians who recognized a growing need for comprehensive mental health and addiction treatment in their community, and over the course of 9 years has grown to be a reliable source of care for their clients.
“We were driven by a shared vision to improve patient outcomes, and motivated by the desire to make advanced treatments more accessible to patients,” said Sylvester Nwendo, a board certified doctor of psychiatry and neurology. “This foundation has allowed our practice to become a trusted resource for individuals seeking effective mental health and addiction treatment solutions.”
Hopefield uses advanced and effective treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (Esketamine), both of which are cutting-edge therapies not commonly available in all treatment centers. Their treatments are targeted to patients who have been struggling to respond to more traditional methods, and through QEEG Brain Mapping with Neurofeedback, they are able to offer personalized, data-driven approaches to the patients treatment plan. Their approach is also patient-centric and holistic, treating not just symptoms but also addressing underlying causes and supporting patients through their entire recovery process.
“We want to continue to invest in the development of new technology in order to better serve our clients,” Nwendo said. “It’s also important to us to invest in the development of our team and ensure they are trained in the latest treatment methods and the best practices.”
Hopefield is actively involved in giving back to Jackson through community engagement and local collaborations. They host regular workshops and seminars to educate others about mental health and addiction, and facilitate support groups to enable individuals who are struggling to help and be there for one another. In addition, Hopefield frequently partners with local organizations such as local health services, schools, and nonprofits to support initiatives that enhance awareness and provide resources to those who need it most. These efforts, as well as their volunteering activities and sponsorships, are a way for them to show their gratitude to the community.
“We want to express our thankfulness for being able to address important mental health and addiction needs,” Nwendo said. “The diverse backgrounds and perspectives within this community enrich our practice and allow us to offer tailored and culturally sensitive treatments, and the active engagement with community members help us to continuously improve and adapt our services to what the community needs.”
As they continue to grow, Hopefield plans to expand the range of treatments and therapies offered, as well as make those services more accessible by opening additional locations, offering virtual consultations, or providing services at a reduced cost for those in need. They work to invest in research initiatives that contribute to the development of new treatment strategies and to enhance their community outreach, all in order to better understand and serve the Jackson community and to provide the highest quality care.
