Event Details

Keep Jackson Beautiful will be holding a festival for Earth Day on April 23. The event will have a drive-thru recycling drop-off for a variety of items like cardboard, paper, glass, and electronics.

There will also be an Earth Day 5K at 7 a.m.

“This is an opportunity to get fit and give back to your community,” said race organizer and City of Jackson, TN Groundskeeping Superintendent J.D. Sims. “All participants will receive a finisher’s medal and t-shirt. We also want the runners to stick around for the festival.”

Activities for the festival will include a tree giveaway, inflatable obstacle course, scavenger hunt, face painting, balloon animals, and more. The City of Jackson, TN Fire Department will also be on-site with their gaming truck.

Educational booths and other vendors will include the Jackson-Madison 200 Bicentennial Committee; City of Jackson, TN Mayor’s Youth Council will be on-site to sign up volunteers for Trash-4-Cash, Master Gardeners, Tree Board, Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Love Your Block – Jackson, TN, and more.

Rain or shine, the event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
