With children out of school during the spring break holiday, both locations of the Jackson-Madison County Library will be offering several special events and programs March 26 through 29 for families to enjoy.

On Mon., March 26, students in grades six through 12 can explore STEM concepts with hands-on activities and crafts at 3:30 p.m. in the Teen Room at the Main Library. Elementary-aged students can watch fun hands-on science demonstrations at 4 p.m. with a presentation by Mr. Bond the Science Guy in the Program Center.

Tuesday’s activities will kick off with preschool story time at 10:30 a.m. on March 27 in the Children’s area at the Main Library. From 1 to 3 p.m., the library will host its Second Annual Fandom Fest. Open to all ages, participants are invited to dress up in their favorite fandom costume, from Harry Potter to Star Wars and anime, and to enjoy a variety of special activities.

On Thurs., March 29, preschool story time will be at 10 a.m. at the North Branch Library. Additionally, the movie “Wonder” will be screened at 1 p.m. in the Program Center at the Main Library.

Both library locations will be closed on Fri., March 30 in observance of Good Friday.

All programs are free and registration is not required. The Jackson-Madison County Library is located at 433 E.
