This month’s discussion is all about Public art! Creative cities are embracing it as a key indicator of a vibrant local culture, and a thriving artistic community is key to growth in economic sectors and overall quality of life.
Jackson Downtown Development Corporation and First United Methodist Church are excited to welcome author Corabel Shofner, artist and sign-maker Josh Kennedy, and artist Quan McFall as our featured speakers for our March First Friday Forum.
Corabel is a published author with a colorful history. She is very passionate about the arts and is an advocate for youth literacy programs.
Josh Kennedy is the owner of Mule Town Sign Company in Columbia, Tennessee. He has been commissioned to create civic murals in and around Nashville and down to Alabama.
Quan McFall is a professional artist who has a passion for public artwork.
The panel will discuss the importance of the arts in the community, cultural, and civic development, highlighting key wins achieved in the Nashville area.
