Join us for the 58th Opening Night as the Jackson Symphony Orchestra recounts classic stories through music filled with romance & adventure.
Prepare to embark on a dazzling,technicolor journey based on the classic folk take “Arabian Nights” with Rimsky-Korsakov’s most popular work Scheherazade. The concert begins with Smetana’s energetic Overture to “The Bartered Bride” incorporating rhythmic melodies with a Bohemian flair. Principal clarinetist David Warren, & principal violist, Laurielle Warren, round out the perfect evening with Bruch’s romantic Double Concerto for Viola & Clarinet.
