The Griot Collective of west Tennessee and Light Trap Books are proud to host a poetry open mic the afternoon of Saturday, April 23rd! It is free and open to the public. A sign up sheet is available at Light Trap Books for those interested in reading original works of poetry or favorite poems. The open mic will be held outside of Light Trap Books at theLOCAL, which is located in downtown Jackson (202 W Lafayette Street).

There will be live music and a food truck on site as well.
