Three nights in Downtown Jackson at the AMP to celebrate the music that shapes our past, defines our present, and creates our future together. Presented by Our Jackson Home.

Thursday, May 7 – Past

Jackson All Star Band

The first night will pay homage to Jackson’s rich musical and cultural heritage while furthering current local business by spotlighting and showcasing the record store owners downtown with a pop-up outdoor record store. A band of “Jackson All-Stars” will play set of music from the past that has inspired them.

Thursday, May 12 – Present 

Hub City Mass Choir Film Screening

The opening event will shine a spotlight on Jackson’s wealth of seminal and rich gospel music with a showing of a film showcasing the story of the Hub City Mass Choir.. The film showcases an annual workshop of musicians who come together for a community choir performance each year since 2015, how they adapted to COVID-19, and the display of unity and strength the choir represents. After the screening there will be a live performance from the choir.

Thursday, May 19 – Future 

Open Mic Showcase

The series will culminate with a performance showcasing a vision of Jackson’s future with a series of up-and-coming artists as well as a panel discussion on creating the future of Jackson together.
