“World Turtle Day” presented by Discovery Park’s Wildlife Education Department

DPA will be sharing fun turtle facts all day long on  its social media platforms about #WorldTurtleDay!

What you will learn:
-Enjoy different turtle-themed activities throughout the park as we “shell-ebrate” World Turtle Day!

-11 a.m. Turtle Takeout: We will discuss turtle diets and play a game regarding the food that different turtles eat!
12 – 2 p.m. Turtle Table: Join us at the Touch Table in the Regional History Gallery to see the turtles that call Discovery Park of America home. We will have a different turtle that you can see up close every 30 minutes!
1 p.m. Kid’s Create: Join us from in Dinosaur Hall to make your own turtle-shaped piggy bank. You can use this craft to save money to help wild turtles.
2:30 p.m. Turtle Anatomy: Join us in Dinosaur Hall to learn about the anatomy of a turtle. We will discuss turtle body parts and complete an activity/coloring sheet.
