Foundation Now Accepting Community Grant Proposals for 2020-2021 Fiscal Year

February 4, 2020

February 4, 2020, the Foundation announced its plans to accept proposals from area non-profits. The organization will focus on projects and initiatives benefiting Madison County for its upcoming 2020-2021 fiscal year.

“We want to continue to partner with other organizations seeking to support the citizens of Jackson and Madison County. Therefore, we are announcing the Foundation will be accepting proposals for community impact grants for the fifth year,” said Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Bill White.

The Foundation awarded Community Impact Grants to thirteen groups for the 2019-2020 fiscal year: A Step Ahead Foundation, Girl Scouts, Jackson Arts Council, Jackson-Madison County Library, Jonah Affordable Housing Organization, Madison Haywood Developmental Services, Inc., Pastoral Care at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Regional Inter-Faith Association, The Scarlet Rope Project, Southwest Human Resource Agency, Southwest Tennessee Development District, The Jackson Symphony, and The Jackson Symphony league. “Since the inception of the community grants initiative four years ago, we have awarded more than $63,000 to assist the residents of Madison County,” said Koffman. “This year, we are increasing the award amount available to each agency that applies with the intention of making a greater impact on those they serve.”

While there are no specific areas of focus requested, priorities will be given to projects in healthcare, education, and the arts. The Foundation has stipulated grant awards must serve the residents of Madison County. Proposals will be accepted from 501(c)(3) organizations or funds of the Foundation until Friday, February 28, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

“We know these organizations are serving our community, and we want to partner with them to address the specific needs they see each and every day. We want to be part of the solution,” said Foundation President, Frank McMeen.
