The Greater Jackson Chamber announced the launch of MOMENTUM, a regional public-private partnership designed to drive long-term economic prosperity across Jackson, Madison County and West Tennessee. The partnership has already secured over $7 million in commitments from area businesses and organizations toward its $8 million goal. 

"Jackson and West Tennessee are at a defining moment," said Kyle Spurgeon, president and CEO of the Greater Jackson Chamber. "MOMENTUM gives us the strategy and the partners to build on the growth we've already seen and make sure our region is ready for what's next." 

"Jackson and West Tennessee are experiencing a period of real opportunity — new investment, industry expansion and workforce growth are creating momentum across our community and region," said James Kirkland, senior vice president, H+M Company, Inc., and co-chair of the campaign. "But opportunity alone does not create success. It requires alignment, strong leadership, and a shared vision for the future." 

"Because when we invest together, we build momentum together," added Tina Prescott, president and CEO of West Tennessee Healthcare and campaign co-chair. "We invite the business community to join us as a partner in this effort." 

Built around five strategic pillars — Expansion & Strategic Recruitment, Workforce Navigation & Talent Access, Regional Identity & Marketing Alignment, Economic Infrastructure & Quality of Place, and Tourism & Community Asset Alignment — MOMENTUM is designed to position the region for sustained growth and competitiveness. 

MOMENTUM builds on the results of the Chamber's prior initiative, Forward Jackson 3.0, which generated $1.7 billion in total capital investment, 6,190 new jobs and $1.1 billion in total wages across the region during its 2021–2024 reporting period — a return of $362 in capital investment for every $1 invested in the campaign.
