The Coffee Shop in Humboldt, Tennessee, is truly a place where hot coffee and warm conversations flow, but this cozy, friendly place offers so much more! This includes serving the best locally roasted coffee and a menu with a wide variety, including eggs and bacon, waffles, burgers, salads, and wraps. In fact, its salads, desserts and burgers have won the “Best of the Best” readers awards with the Humboldt Chronicle in both 2019 and 2020. And the shop holds the “Best Coffee Shop” in the Reader’s Choice Awards with The Jackson Sun from 2019.

What makes this place unique? Owners Guy and Tammy Causey felt the Lord prompted them to create a coffee shop where guests would feel welcome and enjoy great coffee in an atmosphere that would promote conversation and community. During building and planning, several locals asked to include foods like chicken salad sandwiches and good ‘ole burgers. So that’s what they did. With local input, The Coffee Shop is truly a hometown favorite.

The Coffee Shop is also available as a non-alcoholic venue for Sunday events starting at 1:30 p.m. and Monday events beginning at 8 a.m. There is a private room available for rent during regular shop hours, and the whole space and private room are perfect for meetings, parties, showers, and other special celebrations.

Celebrating its second anniversary in September 2020, a lot of care and love has gone into creating the shop. But, the real love comes from the couples’ relationship with the Lord and the shop’s team members. “The thing we love most about owning the shop is the fact that we know it is only possible with the Lord’s hand orchestrating it all. Our team members and our guests have certainly become like family to us. The new friendships formed have brought great encouragement, a few shared tears and a lot of laughter,” says Co-Owner Tammy Causey.

The Coffee Shop loves giving back to the community by sponsoring coffee bars at fundraising activities such as the Carl Perkins Center Gala that benefits the Exchange Club/Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, the Birth Choice Walk for Life, and others. The shop also gives gift certificates or merchandise to support local achievers for a variety of reasons. It also supports the Main Street Humboldt group, Humboldt Lion’s Club, and various other organizations.
