Video Script:

President/CEO, Kyle Spurgeon: Jackson and West Tennessee will only reach the pinnacle of economic success and prosperity if individuals of all races are afforded equal opportunities for a better education, a better job and a better quality of life. In 2019, Jackson Chamber members identified “Engagement and Unity” as one of seven Forward Jackson 3.0 (the chamber’s five-year strategic plan) initiatives. We will also evaluate opportunities to partner, encourage and provide assistance to programs and organizations that promote cultural awareness for individuals of all backgrounds. We will communicate the benefits of diversity and encourage all of our members to strengthen workplace cultures to ensure inclusion and elevate cultural awareness. It is our responsibility to listen and learn from each other. We are better together.
