Lauren Saliba Receives Statewide Award for Leadership Education

Lauren Saliba, Greater Jackson Chamber Vice President of Education & Leadership Development, has been recognized by the Tennessee Association of Community Leadership (TACL) with the Robert M. Smith Award, honoring her contributions to leadership education and her commitment to developing leaders in Tennessee.

Named in honor of Robert M. Smith, whose dedication to leadership education and community leadership development left a lasting impact across the state, the award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to mentoring, teaching and developing leaders through community and youth leadership programs.

Sponsored by the University of Tennessee at Martin’s WestStar Leadership Program, the award celebrates individuals who make a meaningful and lasting difference in their communities through leadership education.

At the Greater Jackson Chamber, Saliba leads leadership development initiatives, including Leadership Jackson, a longstanding program that equips participants with a deeper understanding of the community, its challenges and opportunities, and the people and organizations working to move Jackson-Madison County forward. Through leadership education and relationship-building, the program prepares participants to become more engaged and effective community leaders.

“Lauren’s commitment to leadership development reflects the very best of the Greater Jackson Chamber,” said Kyle Spurgeon, president and CEO of the Greater Jackson Chamber. “Through her work, she equips emerging and established leaders with the knowledge, confidence and connections they need to make a meaningful impact in Jackson-Madison County and beyond. This statewide recognition is a well-deserved honor and a testament to her dedication to strengthening our community through leadership development”

The Robert M. Smith Award celebrates individuals whose commitment to leadership education strengthens communities and helps develop the next generation of leaders.
