Jackson, TENN. May 30, 2023 – Mandy White, Chief Economic Development Officer for the Greater Jackson Chamber, has been named one of the Top 50 Economic Developers in North America for 2023 by Consultant Connect. This recognition highlights White's outstanding contributions to economic development in the Jackson-Madison County community.

Consultant Connect, a consulting agency designed to bridge the gap between economic developers and site consultants, announces its 2023 list of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers. The economic development professionals selected for this list were nominated by their colleagues in both the economic development and site location consulting industries for excellent practices, innovation and success in building the communities they serve.

Having served on the Greater Jackson Chamber staff for 24 years, Mandy White has been a driving force in promoting growth and development in the region. She has actively contributed to the community and the state in various capacities, serving on the Jackson Regional Municipal Planning Commission, the general advisory board for the TN College of Applied Technology-Jackson, and the Union University McAfee School of Business Executive Advisory Board. Additionally, she holds positions on the Board of Directors as Vice Chairman of the Japan America Society of TN and has served as the Past President of the TN Economic Development Council.

As an integral part of Team Madison County, White's primary focus is marketing Jackson to industrial companies, encouraging them to locate in Madison County. Her efforts with Team Madison County have resulted in the creation of nearly 15,000 new industrial jobs, attracting investments totaling over $3.95 billion.

White's recent accomplishments include successfully bringing both Dixie Jackson/Georgia-Pacific and 6K Energy to Jackson. The Dixie Jackson project, with an investment of $425 million, stands as the largest single investment in Jackson-Madison County's history.

Through her continuous engagement, White builds relationships with the site selector community and shares updates on new initiatives, projects and sites in Jackson-Madison County. With a large majority of projects coming through the site selection community, she understands the importance of keeping site consultants updated on our community and its success, which ultimately increases our chances of landing projects in our community.

“Mandy’s success in facilitating economic development efforts is a direct result of her attention to detail, strong relationship skills and working to ensure Team Madison County is in a position to win projects that are a great fit for our community,” stated Kyle Spurgeon, Greater Jackson Chamber President/CEO.
