A graduate of Leadership Jackson in 2023 and Weststar Leadership in 2023, Kyle brings a well-rounded perspective to his leadership role. Originally hailing from Rowlett, TX, Kyle and his family made the move to Jackson from Kentucky in 2020. Kyle Barron most recently served as Vice President of Student Services at Jackson State Community College. He brings with him workforce development, public affairs, and project management expertise from 17 years in higher education
Originally from Rowlett, TX, Kyle and his family moved to Jackson from Kentucky in 2020 and are proud to call Jackson home. He holds multiple degrees including EdD Higher Education Policy, Assessment & Evaluation, University of Kentucky; MEd Higher Education, University of North Texas; BAAS focus in Spanish, Cultural Studies, & Counseling, University of North Texas; AAS Richland College.
He has served as past chair for Jackson Empowerment Taskforce, current member on Essential Air Service Selection Committee, Ex Officio Member for Jackson Housing Committee, and Board Member for Western Governors University Tennessee. Kyle and his wife, Kristine, have two children, Lydia and Sydney. His hobbies include real estate, bourbon and baseball (Go Rangers)!
