The Ned Seeks Donations for Annual Tree of Warmth

November 17, 2022

The Ned R. McWherter West Tennessee Cultural Arts Center is seeking donations from the community for its annual Tree of Warmth.

“We started the Tree of Warmth back up in 2018 and have done it every year since,” said Jordan Alexander, Art Curator at The Ned. “We do it every year because it gets cold every year. Not everyone has access to warm clothes, so it's a good way to offer something to help people bundle up if they have to be out in the elements.”

The purpose of the Tree of Warmth is to provide warm clothing for those in need in the community. Donations – hats, scarves, gloves, and socks – are currently being accepted at The Ned (Old City Hall – 314 E. Main St.)

The Tree of Warmth will be decorated on December 1, 2022.
